Jahon siyosiy ta`limotlarni ijtimoiy-tarixiy hodisa sifatidagi mohiyatini ochib berish, ta`limotlar genezisi, shakllanishi va rivojlanishi qonuniyatlarini yoritish dasturdan kozlangan asosiy maqsadni tashkil etadi. Ushbu maqsad jahon siyosiy ta`limotlari tarixi fanining boshqa ijtimoiy-gumanitar fanlar bilan aloqadorligini korsatish, insoniyat tarixida, tsivilizatsiya rivojida muhim orin tutgan muayyan ta`limotlarning mazmunini ochib berish kabi vazifalarni bajarishni taqazo etadi. Jahon siyosiy ta`limotlari tarixi fani tarix, falsafa, sotsiologiya, siyosatshunoslik, huquqshunoslik kabi ilmiy bilimlar sohalari bilan ozaro aloqadordir. Dastur besh bolimdan iborat bolib, uning birinchi bolimida manaviyat va madaniyat dinamikasi, ikkinchi bolimida insonning axloqiy tarbiyasi, uchinchi bolimda estetik didni shakllantirish omillari, tortinchi bolimda fanning manaviy madaniyatni shakllantirishdagi roli, beshinchi bolimda axborotlashuvning ijtimoiy madaniy jarayonlarga tasiri masalalari tahlil qilingan.
